DORP | WINTER 2026

Cape Town behaves
differently in winter.

Inside Dorp, winter has its own rhythm.

Fires are lit early, lunches linger, and dinner becomes a conversation.

Winter, in other words, suits Dorp rather well.

THE OFFER

The Art of
Staying Longer

Cape Town rarely reveals itself in a hurry.

This winter, guests who stay four nights or more between
01 May – 31 August 2026 enjoy 20% off their best available rate.

Which seems only fair.

A WINTER STAY

A Winter Rhythm

Guests often arrive intending to explore Cape Town quickly. Then usually end up slowing down.
Here is how a few winter days might unfold.

Day One — Arrive Above the City

Arrive at Dorp Hotel and settle into the hotel. Spend the afternoon taking in the view as the light changes across Table Mountain and the city below. Dinner is unhurried. The first evening often becomes the beginning of a conversation.

Day Two — Wander Cape Town

Take the morning slowly before heading into the city. Explore the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, visit galleries along Bree Street, or explore the V&A Waterfront. Return to Dorp before sunset — a good time to watch the clouds gather over the mountain.

Day Three — The Winelands

Winter is a beautiful time to explore the Cape’s wine country. Drive through the valleys around Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Guests may wish to stop at our sister property, Boschendal Wine Estate, for wine tastings, a farm lunch, or simply an afternoon among the vineyards. Return to the hotel in time for dinner and a warm evening indoors.

Day Four — The Luxury of Doing Very Little

And Perhaps One More Night

Cape Town rarely reveals itself in a hurry. Which is why guests who stay a little longer often find the city becomes even more interesting.
